Mrs. Brown’s Discipline Policy

We use a clip chart in our classroom to help us monitor our behavior. 

Students begin the day in the middle of the chart and move their magnet up or down during the day depending on the choices they make regarding their behavior. 

 

Here is a model of the clip chart and what each space on the chart means.

 

 

STAR STUDENT                             If students mover their clip here, they are at the top!                                                    

 

 

EXCELLENT EFFORT                      Students giving Excellent Effort are being great role

                                                 models and trying their best.

 

 

READY TO LEARN                       All students begin their day on green ready to learn. 

                                                 the choices they make.   They will move up or down on  

                                                 the chart depending on the choices they make.

 

 

MAKE BETTER CHOICES                Yellow is a reminder that students need to

                                                  make smart choices and follow classroom rules.

 

 

TEACHER’S CHOICE                     When a student moves their clip to orange, they take

                                                 a break from group or other option to be decided by the teacher.

 

 

PARENT CONTACT                       If a student moves to red parents will be contacted and/or

                                                 the student will be seen by an administrator.
